This is a full-time, on-site Service Technician role located in West Valley City, UT. The Service Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance and repair on apartment homes, common areas, and building systems, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance work. Daily tasks include completing service requests, troubleshooting issues reported by residents or the property team, assisting with unit turns and inspections, and ensuring the property is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
The role also involves interacting with residents in a professional and courteous manner, coordinating with the maintenance supervisor and property management staff, and adhering to safety guidelines and company standards.
- Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair skills, including general building, mechanical, and unit maintenance.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including working on-site, responding to service requests, and managing multiple tasks.
- Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with residents and team members.
- Candidates should possess core Maintenance skills related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC basics, appliances, and grounds care.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include prior multifamily or residential maintenance experience, familiarity with work order systems, valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift and carry equipment as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; relevant technical training or certifications (e.g., HVAC, EPA) are a plus.
