CDL Delivery Driver - CDL-A
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver goods safely and efficiently to customers as per assigned routes and schedules.
- Assist with loading and unloading products, ensuring items are handled properly to avoid damage.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel and time.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively and professionally during deliveries.
- Verify delivery accuracy by obtaining signatures, completing delivery logs, and reporting any issues or discrepancies.
- Perform routine vehicle checks, report maintenance needs, and keep the vehicle clean and organized.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries.
- Handle delivery challenges, such as incorrect addresses or customer concerns, and report unresolved issues to management.
- Assist with basic warehouse tasks when not on delivery routes, such as organizing inventory or preparing orders.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned.
- Experience:
6-12 months of recent and verifiable commercial driving experience. - Familiar with FMCSA rules and regulations.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical with a current valid medical card in the state licensed.
- Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is an advantage.
- Licenses:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Skills:
Safe driving record with a customer service mindset. - Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Physical Requirements:
Comfortable with long periods of driving and physically demanding tasks like lifting and carrying.
