Accounting Manager

Job Description

Our Company is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. The role ensures accurate, timely financial transactions, maintains strong internal controls, and manages accounting staff.

• Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop a team of approximately five accounting professionals; assign and review work to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines; foster a collaborative and accountable team environment.
• Oversee full‑cycle accounts payable process – invoice processing, approvals, disbursements; ensure timely and accurate vendor payments; maintain vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee billing, collections, and cash application processes; monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and minimize delinquency; partner with internal teams to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls over AP and AR functions; assist in month‑end and year‑end close processes related to AP/AR.
• Collaborate closely with the Controller and other departments to ensure alignment with company goals; support audits and provide documentation as required; support implementation of new systems or workflows as needed.
• Travel to Minnesota for initial training; all expenses covered by Company; no ongoing travel outside initial training.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong exposure to AP and AR functions.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is a plus.
