Position Summary

The accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate job cost records, and ensuring financial data integrity. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Quick Books and understands job costing in a project-based environment such as construction, manufacturing, or field services.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage full-cycle accounting using Quick Books

- Track and allocate job costs (labor, materials, subcontractors, overhead)

- Reconcile bank and credit card statements

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

- Assist with payroll and tax filings

- Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards

- Maintain general ledger and journal entries

- Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking

- Other duties as required

Qualifications

- 3+ years of accounting experience in a job cost-driven company

- Strong proficiency in Quick Books (Desktop or Online)

- Solid understanding of job costing and project accounting

- Advanced Excel skills

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent organizational and communication skills

- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or service-based project environments preferred

- Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting

- Experience with payroll processing

- CPA or relevant education required
