As the Accounting Clerk
, you will be responsible for providing administrative, logistics, and quality support to site operations, while performing some accounting functions. Responsibilities include assisting with accounts payable, payroll processing, logistics coordination, inventory tracking, shipping and receiving documentation, quality record maintenance, audit support, and general office administration. This position contributes to the organization's success by supporting operational efficiency, maintaining compliance with company policies and quality requirements, and providing exceptional support.

Salary Range
: $46,000 - $69,000
Annual Bonus Target
: 3-5% subject to plan provisions.

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Provide administrative support for accounting, logistics, and quality functions and other plant activities.
- Process accounts payable transactions and maintain related records.
- Payroll processing for hourly workforce and recordkeeping.
- Maintain documentation required for audits, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with corporate and site personnel to support operational needs.
- Respond to inquiries and provide routine reporting as needed.
- Process and maintain accounts payable for the site.
- Review new and existing purchase orders for proper tax coding.
- Maintain documentation required for contractual, audit, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with site purchasing and resolve vendor inquiries or payment issues
- Assist site personnel with SAP service entry processes.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly union employees in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
- Enter, review, transmit, and reconcile payroll data within the payroll system.
- Maintain both electronic and manual payroll records.
- Support SOX payroll testing by providing required documentation.
- Administer employee deductions, garnishments, with holdings, and other payroll-related transactions.
- Track and report employee vacation, attendance, and absenteeism.
- Manage inbound and outbound mail.
- Maintain inventory and ordering of office supplies.
- Coordinate meeting schedules and visitor arrangements.
- Maintain site payroll records, filing systems, and administrative documentation.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
- Support accounts receivable functions as required.
- Assist with special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Two+ years of accounting and administrative experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook.
- SAP experience, preferably within FI, CO, MM, PP, PM, FA, and PS modules.
- Knowledge of West Virginia sales and use tax regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and employee information.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work overtime as business needs require.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience processing payroll in a unionized, multi-shift workforce with premium pay structures.
- Experience with accounts payable, general ledger accounting, cost accounting, capital project accounting, and fixed asset accounting.
- Experience using SAP within a manufacturing setting.
