Location: Location

This position is a high-volume, diverse, multi-tasking environment, with “multiple instantaneous requests” serving departments in the Regional Campus and those programs running offsite (remote Northern locations). The incumbent must be aware of all College programs, courses, policies and procedures, software programs, schedules, and financial accounts. Must be able to represent the College with external and internal customers including Funding Agencies.

The position is responsible for a variety of duties primarily for the Greenstone Campus. The position is also responsible for providing services to faculty, students and other regional staff. These duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing liaison services for students with the Registrar’s department, Financial Aid and other regional campuses
  • Providing front-line assistance to students and the public
  • Processing, reconciling and supervising financial functions such as Bookstore sales, petty cash, accounts receivable and accounts payable and book deposits
  • Performing all Bookstore operations
  • Assists in the day-to-day operation of the Greenstone Campus

The incumbent is located in Greenstone, which is outside of the mainstream of the overall College activity. Due to this isolation, the incumbent is responsible for and is required to make decisions regarding issues such as but not limited to student access to photocopying, food services, building safety issues, security, setting-up classrooms, and reporting any maintenance concerns—normal services afforded to other departments.

Qualifications

Minimum level of formal education required: 1 year certificate or equivalent education. No additional requirements.

Field(s) of Study:
Office/Business Administration or equivalent;
Accounting courses.

Typical number of years of experience required:
Minimum of three (3) years. Experience gained as a team player in a service-oriented office environment using a variety of software packages including Word and Excel.
