We are recruiting on behalf of a growing and innovative business for a Product Technologist to join their team in Stockton-on-Tees.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded product professional with experience in product management, product data administration, and supplier coordination. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting product strategy, managing product information, and ensuring the smooth delivery of products throughout their lifecycle.
The RoleAs Product Technologist, you will work closely with internal stakeholders across Brand, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing to support product development, category management, and product performance. You will contribute to product strategy, market analysis, and lifecycle management while maintaining accurate product data within the business ERP system.
Key Responsibilities- Support product strategy and roadmap planning in line with business objectives and market trends.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and support product positioning.
- Assist with the management of product life cycles from concept through to launch and eventual withdrawal.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication, prioritisation, and product delivery.
- Create and maintain product records within Microsoft Business Central, including item cards and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Maintain product specifications, dimensions, weights, packaging details, commodity codes, and attributes.
- Manage updates to product information and support the administration of discontinued and replacement products.
- Collect and maintain supplier technical documentation, pricing information, lead times, and related records.
- Previous experience in a Product Technologist or similar product management role, ideally within an e-commerce or related environment.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and suppliers.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using CRM or ERP systems, with Microsoft Business Central being advantageous.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to interpret market trends, customer needs, and product performance data.
