Position Summary:
The Campus Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations, financial management, inventory oversight, and customer service functions of the Campus Store and Post Office. This position manages purchasing, inventory control, sales transactions, vendor relationships, and operational processes to ensure the store provides a high-quality experience for students, employees, and campus visitors.
The Campus Store Manager supports institutional operations by maintaining efficient business practices, accurate financial records, and effective coordination with departments including Student Accounts, Finance, Student Services, and other campus stakeholders. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Campus Store Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the Campus Store and Post Office, ensuring efficient, accurate, and customer-focused service.
- Maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional retail environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve store operations, customer experience, sales performance, and overall effectiveness.
- Manage the virtual Campus Store platform, including product updates, inventory availability, and online customer experience.
- Ensure merchandise is appropriately displayed, stocked, and maintained according to organizational standards.
- Manage opening and closing procedures, including daily cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation processes.
Purchasing & Inventory Management
- Purchase, receive, and manage merchandise inventory, including apparel, supplies, textbooks/materials (if applicable), food/beverage items, and other resale products.
- Prepare and process purchase orders for store merchandise, supplies, and operational needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Conduct monthly inventory counts and submit required reports to the Finance Office.
- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations regarding purchasing needs, trends, and product demand.
- Coordinate receiving, stocking, and shipment processing for Campus Store and Post Office operations.
- Communicate with vendors regarding orders, deliveries, discrepancies, returns, and product concerns.
- Process and reconcile daily financial transactions, including credit card payments, cash collections, deposits, and sales activity.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with institutional procedures.
- Manage petty cash, including monthly reconciliation and reporting.
- Process, reconcile, and submit travel reports and miscellaneous receipts as required.
- Prepare and maintain purchase order documentation and coordinate submission to Accounts Payable.
- Assist with financial reporting and operational documentation as requested.
Post Office Operations
- Oversee daily Post Office operations, including incoming and outgoing mail processing.
- Sort and distribute mail and packages to appropriate students and departmental mailboxes.
- Process incoming shipments and notify recipients of delivered packages and materials.
- Maintain accurate tracking and organization of mail and package distribution processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable mail handling and security procedures.
Student Employee Supervision
- Hire, train, schedule, and provide daily directions to student employees.
