Thacker Pass, NV - Salary Range: $105,000 - $160,200 annually (determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant.)
Thacker Pass is the largest known lithium resource in the United States. The mine and processing facilities will produce more lithium carbonate than any other facility in the United States, enough to power 1,000,000 electric vehicles per year. This EPCM contractor role focuses on managing and integrating engineering and construction efforts, overseeing procurement of about $1 billion in goods and services, and ensuring project milestones are met.
Job SummaryAssigned to the project team as a representative of the Construction functional group, the Lead Turnover Coordinator is responsible for coordinating between Construction, Startup, Subcontractors, and the Customer to communicate area and system turnover logic, conducting walkdowns, and ensuring remaining work is identified and completed. The Lead Turnover Coordinator leads day‑to‑day activities of a technical and administrative team, oversees punch listing programs, and maintains completion tracking and documentation for turnover.
MajorResponsibilities
- Coordinate between Construction, Startup, Subcontractors, and the Customer to ensure areas and systems are ready for turnover.
- Conduct walkdowns of areas/systems to identify outstanding work.
- Review documentation for areas/systems to ensure completeness.
- Work with Field Engineer, vendor, and contractor to ensure all documents meet plans and specifications.
- Review punch lists to confirm all items are completed, RFIs closed, and DCNs issued (if required).
- Expedite completion of remaining work.
- Maintain up‑to‑date completion tracking programs for the area/system.
- Ensure all applicable documentation and inspection forms are compiled and presented for turnover.
Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills- Previous experience in field engineering or construction supervision.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Ability to oversee, prioritize, and execute multiple assignments involving internal and external organizations.
- Physical ability to walk into and out of the project site.
- Familiarity with the PPE required for assigned tasks.
- Strong communication skills.
- Working knowledge of P&IDs, single line diagrams, and civil/structural drawings.
- Industrial construction experience preferred.
- Computer literacy: word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Familiarity with Teamworks and Setroute is a plus.
