The position is filled by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools

Salary:
Per Harrison County Board of Education extra-curricular assignment schedule

Functions and Duties:

• Schedule and conduct all rehearsals.
• Provide refinement of choral technique, dance technique and expanded repertoire in the area of Show Choir.
• Audition, teach and train participants for Show Choir.
• Perform publicly outside of home-school environment.
• Provide choral music for graduation ceremonies, if such ceremonies are conducted and required.
• Maintain records, reports and inventories as may be required and submits requested information by designated time.
• Accept advice and suggestions in a constructive manner.
• Submit requisitions for purchase of choral music to proper authority within designated budget and designated deadline.
• Attend music in-services, workshops, conferences and meetings during the academic school year as required to meet obligations.
• Coordinate all activities with the school principal.
• Exercise due cautions to the safety of students.
• Participate in the West Virginia State Show Choir Festival and other music festivals and/or invitational's.
• Perform such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the superintendent or immediate supervisor may, from time to time, assign.
