A little about the position:

Job Summary

The Shipping Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely order processing within a fast-paced production environment. This position is responsible for entering customer orders into the company's system with precision and efficiency. The Shipping Assistant serves as a key liaison between dealers and internal teams, working closely with scheduling, production, customer service, and shipping departments to coordinate order details, confirm timelines, and support smooth workflow from order entry through shipment.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet customer expectations and production deadlines.

What You Will Do:

* Daily communication with our dealer base.

* Ensure on time ordering of oversized load permits

* Accurate entry into ERP (Thor) to update dealer requested dates for use by production and shipping teams.

* Daily communicate with Shipping Manager, Plant Manager and Production Manager to help facilitate schedules.

* Invoice pools daily.

* Receive incoming calls for schedule changes and shipping configuration updates

* Track and report delays to confirmed shipments.

* Maintain high service levels, including coordinating across multiple production plants or departments to meet dealers needs.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* 2-years' experience in shipping, logistics, customer service, or administrative support

* Customer Service Background is a plus.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required and familiarity with ERP systems.

* Basic understanding of office management procedures and inventory tracking.

* Must be able to work overtime when necessary, including nights and/or Saturdays.
