Logan, West Virginia Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens
12–14 Shifts/Month | 12-Hour Shifts | 30K Annual ED Volume

Rhino Medical is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage in Logan, West Virginia, beginning October 29, 2026. This opportunity offers a substantial monthly schedule in a 22-bed Emergency Department with both day and night shifts available, broad specialty backup, and an established physician/NP-PA coverage model.

Schedule

• Start date:
  
  October 29, 2026
• 12–14 shifts per month
• 12-hour shifts
• Days: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• Nights: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

Emergency Department

• Approximately 30,000 annual ED visits
• 22 ED beds
• Approximately 1.7 patients per hour
• 132-bed hospital
• MEDHOST EMR
• Three trauma rooms
• Onsite CT, X-ray, and ultrasound capabilities

Clinical Coverage & Support

• Established physician and NP/PA coverage model
• Specialty support includes Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Radiology, Urology, and Wound Care
• Neurology and Pediatrics support available

Physician Requirements

• 3+ years of Emergency Medicine experience
• Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine-trained physicians considered
• Accepted board certifications include:
  • ABEM / AOBEM
  • ABFM
  • ABIM / AOBIM
• ACLS
• ATLS
• PALS
• Appropriate active West Virginia licensure required for credentialing
