Extra-Curricular - Elementary Alternative Education Counselor
POSITION: Extracurricular Assignment Elementary Alternative Education Counselor
EVALUATED BY: Director of Elementary Education
LOCATION: West Teays Annex
QUALIFICATIONS: This extra duty assignment requires a West Virginia Professional Service Certificate endorsed for counselor at the grade levels appropriate for this assignment (K-5).
SALARY: Hourly rate as submitted.
Position Type: Contract/Hourly Employment/Extracurricular Assignment - Professional Personnel
Responsibilities- Assist with the implementation of the student's behavior modification plan.
- Consult with the Elementary Alternative Education Program Lead Teacher, regular education teachers and the regular counselor on student progress.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, as needed.
- Maintain appropriate student records.
- Assist with the supervision of students at all times.
- Communicate with parents/guardians on a regular basis.
- Meet professional responsibilities associated with the position.
