Job Summary/Basic Function
1. Assist Upward Bound students with course work during the 6-week Summer Academy.
2. Work with UB students in class that are in their curriculum.
3. Light record-keeping, tutorial sheets and logs.
4. Work one-on-one with students.
5. Assist faculty as needed.
6. May work in small group setting with UB students
Minimum Qualifications
1. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the subject you tutor.
2. Writing tutors must have completed ENGL 101 & ENGL 102.
3. Have the ability to simplify and convey information in ways that students understand.
4. Have the sensitivity for working with the Upward Bound eligible and diverse student populations.
5. Enrolled/registered for Summer or Fall 2026
