The Opportunity

West Liberty University is seeking applications for a Faculty Biology member. The Department of Biological Sciences at West Liberty University invites applications for a 9‑month, non‑tenure track faculty position to teach courses in all areas of undergraduate biology, including majors, non‑majors biology, microbiology, and anatomy and physiology. The minimum education required for this position is an earned M.S. in Biology or a Master’s in a related field.

Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience at the collegiate level, particularly in laboratory courses. Candidates will be expected to develop courses for remote learning and to teach additional courses in their specific area of expertise as needed.

A faculty member is expected to participate in continuous improvement in the areas of teaching, professional development, and service to the University and community. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Employees, their dependents, and spouses are eligible for a 100% waiver of undergraduate tuition during the academic year. Only employees are eligible for a 50% waiver of graduate tuition for certain programs. Free use of the Wellness facilities and free admission to all WLU events with the employee Topper Card.
