Successful applicant will teach math subjects in grades 6-8, along with other duties and responsibilities assigned.
Salary ScheduleIn accordance with Berkeley County Schools Teacher Salary Scale with verified years of experience and degree level. 200‑day employment term.
If a NBCT accepts the position, they will be paid an additional $2000 stipend in addition to their salary, benefits, and NBCT stipend.
Specialized SkillsRequired skills and abilities include: minimum of a Bachelor's degree; state education licensure with appropriate content grade level endorsement or the ability to obtain licensure; ability to guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals; effective classroom management; ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; and the ability to work as part of a team.
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and demonstrate the knowledge and ability to be a qualified and effective candidate for the vacancy.
Additional Job InformationIf a certified candidate is unavailable for this position, an applicant who is eligible for a first‑class permit, alternative certification, Teacher‑in‑Residence, or a perm sub can be considered.
