Adjunct Faculty Position

The Department of Biology is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach one lecture and two associated laboratory sections of BIOL
101 for the Fall semester 2026. This course is a themed general biology course intended for non-science majors fulfilling General Education requirements. The course will be taught in person at Concord University's campus in Athens, WV. BIOL
101 covers general principles of biology including organismal biology, cellular biology, and evolution/ecology following a theme of the instructor's choosing. Instructors are free to use thematic materials already developed by the department faculty or develop a new theme of their own design. The sections carry 7 hours of faculty load combined, with compensation at the University's standard rates for adjunct instructors.
An allowance for office hours is also provided.

Minimum Education
- Master's
Type of experience needed - 18 graduate credit hours in biology from an accredited institution.
