School Counselor
The School Counselor will be responsible for providing educational, occupational, and life guidance to students in a residential school setting. Assist in student intake and orientation process; maintain educational records, including grade reports and transcripts; administer and interpret assessments to aid in student development; work with the building administrator to coordinate state required assessments; facilitate the implementation of social skills and transition curriculum;
assist host agency staff with crisis intervention needs. Holds or qualifies for a West Virginia Professional Student Support certificate in Counseling PK-AD; possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must pass a background check; mandatory training sessions. Salary based on experience and education level per TCBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
