James Monroe High School Vocational Liaison
Oversee all vocational school programs for MCS. Implement, evaluate, and modify plans and budgets to best meet the needs of students. Oversee grants related to vocational programs and report to the superintendent for final approval. Oversee budgets related to vocational programs including field trips related to the technical center. Requisition and recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies for vocation and adult programs.
Implement and conduct adult and community education classes Evaluate the effectiveness of the vocational programs Communicate with administrators and board of education members about changes and updates in vocational educational programs. Prepare all reports and complete all paperwork required for the various vocational school programs. Provide leadership and support to all personnel and students involved in vocational education programs. Evaluate instruction for all vocational school teachers.
Oversee the Options Program Oversee the Alternative School Program Establish positive public and employee relations. Work with the high school administration to make decisions that are in the best interest of the students. Facilitate and supervise all Co-op students and work experiences. Other duties as assigned by the superintendent or assistant superintendent.
Qualifications:
This position will be filled with the most qualified applicant pursuant to the criteria set forth in WV Code §18A-4-7a, based upon the following minimum qualifications
• Master's Degree
• Hold a valid West Virginia administrative certificate at the appropriate programmatic level (9-12)
• Completion of the WV Evaluation Leadership Institute
• Minimum three years successful administrative experience, preference for experience at grade levels 9-12
• Successful completion of interview process, as determined by the superintendent and/or interview committee
• Knowledgeable in high school curriculum
• Knowledgeable in County, State, and Federal policies
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others and as a member of an educational team
• Effective written and oral communication skills Salary: $4,000 per school year Effective Date:
