Job Summary
The Department of Biology invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach one lecture and two laboratory sections of BIOL 101 in Fall semester 2026. BIOL 101 is a themed general biology course for non‑science majors fulfilling general education requirements. The course is taught in person at Concord University, Athens, WV.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesTeach one lecture and two laboratory sections of BIOL 101. The course covers general principles of biology—including organismal biology, cellular biology, and evolution/ecology—following a theme chosen by the instructor. Instructors may use thematic materials developed by department faculty or create a new theme.
QualificationsEducation
:
Master’s degree (minimum).
Experience
: 18 graduate credit hours in biology from an accredited institution.
