Elementary Education Teacher

Pending employment criminal background check and drug test. Job description includes instruction and curriculum development, differentiated instruction tailored to individual academic and emotional needs of students, and design of engaging, trauma-informed lesson plans incorporating social-emotional learning strategies. Responsibilities also include evidence-based behavior management, collaboration with counselors and specialists, and establishing a safe and supportive classroom culture. Partnering with parents and professionals, providing regular updates, and staying informed on best practices for Tier 3 interventions are also part of the role.

Certification in elementary education is required, with special education certification preferred. Terms of employment are for 200 days effective  school year, with salary based on experience and education level per Clay County Board of Education Salary Schedule, plus a competitive benefits package.
