The Principal works as the instructional leader of the school under the direction of the Director and is responsible for the effective operation of all aspects of the educational program within the school. The Principal holds or qualifies for a West Virginia Professional Administrative Certificate endorsed to serve as a school principal at the appropriate level. The Principal also holds a master's degree related to the public school program.
The Principal has demonstrated knowledge of federal and state-mandated initiatives, remedial techniques and reteaching models. The Principal has demonstrated effective communication and computer skills. The Principal has demonstrated high ethical, moral and professional standards. Demonstrated effective school administrative experience is preferred. The Principal is responsible for the effective operation of all aspects of the educational program within the school.
