Visiting Faculty- Director of Bands & Percussion

West Liberty University is seeking applications for a full‑time Visiting Professor of Music to serve as Director of Bands and Percussion instructor.

• Direct the Marching Hilltoppers and Concert Band
• Direct other ensembles as needed by the program and according to the candidate's expertise
• Coordinate instruments and equipment related to the duties of a Director of Bands
• Teach applied lessons.
  * Percussion is preferred but woodwinds and high brass candidates will also be considered
• Teach other courses as needed by the program and according to the candidate's expertise and experience
• Lead recruitment efforts for all degrees:
  Music Education, Music Performance, and Music Technology
• Positively represent the program, department, college, and university at on‑campus and off‑campus performances and other events

• Master's degree in Music required, Doctorate preferred
• Percussionist preferred but woodwinds and high brass candidates will also be considered
• Experience leading collegiate Marching Band and Concert Band is required
• Steel Band experience is preferred

A faculty member is expected to participate in continuous improvement in the areas of teaching, professional development, and service to the University and community. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
