- Perform set‑up, tear‑down, operation, and maintenance of CSOPTC sports venues, technology systems, equipment, storage areas, and meeting rooms in accordance with USOPC and CSOPTC policies.
- Conduct periodic inspections of venues and associated equipment and report any concerns to the Venues Management team.
- Ensure all venues look presentable and professional at all times for users and guests.
- Assist in the supervision of elite training sessions, elite international competitions, and national championship competitions, including occasional community programs:
- Assist athletes and coaches in an elite training environment.
- Provide necessary support and equipment to coaches and National Governing Body staff.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures for athletes and patrons, exhibit friendly customer service, and enforce all Venues and Velodrome Operations policies, rules, and procedures.
- Plan and assist the Venues team with department responsibilities as needed, communicating clearly and thoroughly via daily shift reports, phone calls, and meetings.
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness around the facility, address concerns with the Venues Supervisor—especially during special events with high attendance. Utilize Red Cross certification in CPR and First Aid for emergency situations at any CSOPTC venue. Act as a second responder to blood‑borne pathogen contamination or other emergency situations as needed.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- American Red Cross CPR/AED, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens Certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Forklift operation certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Some experience with or willingness to learn about athletic equipment set‑up, dismantling, and movement, including national and international specifications and sports technology systems such as electronic timing, video, and aerodynamics testing equipment and procedures.
- Experience with cycling‑specific training, racing modalities, and UCI Race requirements for bike, gear, and athletes.
- Experience with basic computer operation preferred.
- Experience with event logistics and execution preferred.
- Demonstrated skill with cycling equipment.
- Ability to interact with users and staff at all levels.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Emergency situations requiring response may occur.
- Exposure to weather conditions during equipment loading or event supervision.
- Prolonged standing/walking.
- Lift, carry, and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Standard office equipment, computer, and software.
- Athletic and sports‑related equipment.
- Electronic athletic timing/scoring systems.
- Hand tools, hand power tools, and some shop‑based tools.
- Commercial‑type vehicles and golf carts.
- Forklift, pallet jack, ladders, aerial lift (Genie lift), and scaffolding.
- Some domestic and international travel.
- Non‑traditional work hours on occasion, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call time.
- Regular attendance at work is an essential job function.
- Hiring pay range $17.00 - $17.50 per hour.
- This Part‑Time, Non‑Exempt position is intended to work 15 hours per week.
- Bonus:
Eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program with a 5% target. The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion.
