Faculty Biology

Mission Statement West Liberty University, established in 1837, was the first institution of higher education in West Virginia. We are a dynamic, inclusive, student-centered community that cultivates scholarly exploration, experiential learning, creative expression, and global citizenship.

West Liberty University is seeking applications for a Faculty Biology member. The Department of Biological Sciences at West Liberty University, College of Sciences, invites applications for a 9‑month, non‑tenure track faculty position to teach courses in all areas of undergraduate‑level biology, including majors/non‑majors biology, microbiology, and anatomy and physiology. The minimum education required for this position is an earned M.S. in Biology or a Master’s in a related field.

Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience at the collegiate level, particularly in laboratory courses. Candidates will be expected to develop courses for remote learning and to teach additional courses in their specific area of expertise as needed.

Anticipated Faculty Appointment Date:

A faculty member is expected to participate in continuous improvement in the areas of teaching, professional development, and service to the University and community. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
