Teacher
Provide appropriate instruction to students and ensure that the students meet the learning objectives and standards for the appropriate grade level/subject area. Responsibilities include planning and implementing WV academic standards, content, and objectives; implementing adopted and supplemental academic programs; implementing technology skills; planning and implementing inclusion with special education students; analyzing data and planning academic support; collaborating with other professional staff to enhance instruction;
planning and implementing co-curricular activities and/or programs at the school; administering formative assessments; planning and implementing personalized learning; communicating with students, parents, and peers in an efficient manner; fostering a classroom climate conducive to learning; addressing and implementing students' IEPs and 504 Plans and recommending revisions when needed; meeting professional responsibilities; maintaining professional work habits and adhering to the Teacher Code of Conduct;
and implementing any other programs designated by principal for school improvement.
Qualifications include valid professional teaching certification in Special Education with Autism Certification required or enrollment in coursework within the first semester of employment; meeting the qualifications outlined in WV Code §18A-3-2a; and the ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
