REVISED-Special Education Aide​/Bus Aide

Position Title

Special Education Aide/Bus Aide – Full time

Mountain View Elementary and Middle School

• Assist the teacher in instructional activities as directed.
• Assist students in grades Pre-K-8 at Mountainview School.
• Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Perform limited, rotating supervisory duties not related to instruction.
• Provide assistance for transportation to and from school and for special school events.
• Maintain positive work habits.
• Perform duties efficiently and productively.
• Schedule to be determined by the Special Education Director and building administration.
• Be physically capable of lifting and supervising children; undergo training in health care matters and basic/specialized health care procedures; maintain confidentiality of protected educational and health related information.

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Pass state aide test and have bus aide training.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Pass drug test and background check.
• Base rate: $26,610.00; salary based on experience and education level per Monroe County BOE salary schedule plus a competitive benefits package of approximately 35% of direct compensation.
