Reports to: Principal

Responsibility:

• Each school principal/building administrator shall be responsible for establishing a Student Assistance Team.
• All schools will be assigned a Students Assistance Team Coordinator(s) to assist building administrators who shall serve as the SAT chairperson.
• The SAT Coordinator will accept referrals from staff, parents, and/or community agencies.
• Meetings will be scheduled as needed to review individual student needs and will develop and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
• Maintain appropriate documentation of its activities.
• Each SAT will be trained in appropriate instructional and behavioral intervention strategies, as well as referral procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned by the Principal.

Salary: $2500

Employment Term:  Instructional term
