Teacher

Provide appropriate instruction to students and ensure that the students meet the learning objectives and standards for the appropriate grade level/subject area.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing WV academic standards, content, and objectives; implementing adopted and supplemental academic programs; implementing technology skills; planning and implementing inclusion with special education students; planning and implementing co-teaching as appropriate; analyzing data and planning academic support; collaborating with other professional staff to enhance instruction; planning and implementing designated co-curricular activities and/or programs at the school; administering formative assessments;

planning and implementing personalized learning; communicating with students, parents, and peers in an efficient manner; fostering a classroom climate conducive to learning; addressing and implementing students' IEPs and 504 Plans and recommending revisions when needed; meeting professional responsibilities; maintaining professional work habits and adhering to the Teacher Code of Conduct; implementing any other programs designated by principal for school improvement;

and includes supervisory and/or other duties as assigned by Principal.

Qualifications include valid professional teaching certification- all endorsement areas; long term substitute permits; criminal background check; meeting the qualifications outlined in WV Code §18A-3-2a; and the ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
