Location: Buffalo Elementary School
Qualifications:
- Five (5) Years Teaching Experience
- Must Participate In Training Program
- Master's Degree And/Or Previous Advanced Training In Teacher Effectiveness
- Willingness To Assist New Teachers And Perform Assigned Responsibilities Such As:
- Regular Observations/Conferences
- Attendance At Monthly Support Team Meetings
- Completion Of A Log Book
- Ongoing Support And Assistance To New Employee
- Same Programmatic Level As Intern And Same Building Location If Possible
Salary: The Mentor Shall Receive A Stipend Paid By The West Virginia Department Of Education.
Length Of Employment: 2026-27 School Year
Job Description: Participate in a formal beginning teacher assistance program; help resolve problems of beginning teachers through assistance and support; classroom observation and follow-up conferences concerning teaching techniques, classroom management skills, improved relationships with students, etc.; assist with identifying goals and objectives; assist with self-evaluation of intern teacher
