Salary Range: Professional Salary Schedule Annual 2024 based on experience and education level per Putnam County Board of Education salary schedule plus a competitive benefits package to include: PEIA insurance, retirement, life insurance, and free vision and dental insurance.
Job Description: The High School PE/Wellness teacher is assigned to deliver a comprehensive physical education and wellness program in accordance with state law and West Virginia Board of Education and county policies and regulations.
Qualifications: Holds or qualifies for a West Virginia Professional or Temporary Teaching Certificate endorsed for physical education and wellness at the grade levels applicable to this assignment (9-12).
Length of Employment: 200 days
Responsibilities: The High School School PE/Wellness Teacher shall have the responsibilities and duties as outlined in the Putnam County Schools Job Description Handbook.
Effective employment date: August 18, 2026
