Special Education Teacher
Provide direct and/or indirect services to students attending in-person and virtual students as stipulated in the student IEP. Provide IEP training, assist with IEP development, chair IEP meetings as required by the Director of Student Support Services. Provide Homebound services to Hardy County Schools students as needed.
Qualifications:
- WV Professional Teaching Certificate
- Certified to teach:
Multi-categorical and Autism grades K - Adult - Strong knowledge base and competency writing IEPs
- Ability to train other in IEP development and implementation
- Complete all required county and WVDE trainings
- The ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities as contained in the Job Description, with or without reasonable accommodations

Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants who have recent unsatisfactory evaluations will not be eligible for consideration.
- Applicants who demonstrate unsatisfactory interview performance are not eligible for consideration.
- Applicants who receive unfavorable reference recommendations are not eligible for consideration.
- Applicants who have been dismissed or who have had their contracts non-renewed for cause are not eligible for consideration.

Start date:
September 1, 2026 for the School Year Contract Days: remainder of 200-day contract for the School Year; 200 day contract for the SY Salary:
Based on the salary scale - commensurate with experience and education
