The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Program is designed to support and extend learning opportunities for K-12 students beyond the regular instructional day. The program provides academic enrichment opportunities to help students meet state and local standards in core academic subjects, offers enrichment activities that complement the regular academic program, and supports parents and families through literacy and other educational services.
Job DescriptionThe Site Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation, implementation, and oversight of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Extended Day Program at the assigned school site. The coordinator works collaboratively with district administrators, school personnel, community partners, families, and program staff to ensure high-quality academic and enrichment opportunities for participating students. The Site Coordinator monitors program effectiveness, maintains compliance with grant requirements, manages records and reporting, supports staff, and promotes student participation and success.
QualificationsMinimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Education, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Recreation, or a related educational field. Valid West Virginia Teaching Certificate. Meet minimum standards for certification as established by West Virginia Board of Education Policy 5202 and the qualifications outlined in WV Code §18A-4-7a. Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18A-3-10 and applicable state requirements. Experience working with middle or secondary school students and staff preferred.

Applicants who have recent unsatisfactory evaluations will not be considered eligible for consideration. Applicants who demonstrate unsatisfactory interview performance are not eligible for consideration. Applicants who receive unfavorable reference recommendations will not be eligible for consideration. Applicants who have been dismissed or who have had their contracts non-renewed for cause by another school district are not eligible for consideration.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProgram Coordination and Management
Coordinate the implementation of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and enrichment activities for the Extended Day Program. Collaborate with the District 21st CCLC Coordinator, school administrators, teachers, and support staff to ensure program goals and objectives are achieved. Monitor program effectiveness and adjust offerings to address student needs and improve outcomes. Facilitate the development and implementation of lesson plans, enrichment activities, and student programming.
Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all participants.
Staff Supervision and Support
Coordinate the work of site instructors and support personnel. Assist with site instructor agreements, scheduling, and assignment of duties. Monitor staff attendance, timesheets, and payroll documentation. Provide guidance and support to program staff to ensure successful implementation of activities and services.
Student Services and Data Management
Monitor and maintain student attendance records and participation data. Collect, organize, and enter student demographic, assessment, and attendance information into required databases.
