Job Title

Employment Term: 2026/27 School Year, 200 day contract

Qualifications:

Must have a valid West Virginia Teaching Certificate grades 6-12 Criminal Background Check conducted pursuant to WV Code 18-5-15c and/or 18A-3-10 as appropriate.

Duties:

• Arrangement and facilitation of college and career visits, guest speakers, service learning opportunities and civic engagement.
• Assist students in developing essential skills in communication, collaboration, decision-making and professionalism.
• Leads clubs and organizations for the school
• Collaborate with local businesses, civic organizations, and service agencies within Gilmer County.
• Supervise students at all times in accordance with state, county, and school policies.
• Responsible for implementing adopted and supplemental academic programs.
• Responsible for planning and implementing team teaching as appropriate.
• Collaborate with Special Education Teacher to implement IEP's when developing lesson plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal
• Monitor student progress toward mastery of instructional goals and objectives.
• Adheres to Employee Code of Conduct as outlined in Gilmer County School's Policy 3210.
• May teach other elective courses in STEM.

Salary based on experience and education level per state salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
