E. West College of Business is seeking applications for a Construction Management faculty member. The Gary
E. West College of Business seeks a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the design, launch, and growth of a four‑year Bachelor’s degree program in Construction Management. This role provides academic leadership across curriculum development, accreditation, teaching, and industry engagement, while contributing broadly to the mission and service commitments of the college and university. The successful candidate will oversee curriculum design and delivery in both online and on‑ground formats;
guide the program through institutional, HLC, and ACCE approval and accreditation processes; and teach undergraduate courses aligned with their professional expertise. This position also plays a vital role in faculty governance, assessment and continuous improvement, student recruitment and success, and partnerships with industry. The individual will actively engage in service to the school, college, profession, and community; support diverse learners;
collaborate with faculty and staff; and serve as a liaison to professional practice. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Dean to support the strategic goals and success of the College of Business.
This position is a 9-month tenure track position.
Essential Functions of the position:- Curriculum development

- Online Instruction
- Participate in activities related to student recruitment and retention
- Lead the writing and development of a 4-year bachelor's degree curriculum in construction management;
- Guide the program through college curriculum approvals, HLC program approval, and ACCE accreditation;
- Lead the development and implementation of the program courses in both the online and on ground formats;
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local, regional, and national construction industry stakeholders to support program growth, experiential learning opportunities, and an engaged advisory board.
- Teach undergraduate courses in the College of Business in alignment with their experience;
- Engage in service to the school, college, profession, and community, including:
- Participation in curriculum development, implementation, evaluation/assessment, and program improvement
- Participation in accreditation processes at the college and university level
- Participation in faculty governance by serving on college and university committees and work groups
- Participation in the recruitment and selection of qualified faculty and staff within the college
- Participation in the recruitment and admission of students
- Participation in College of Business and WLU activities and celebrations
- Serve as a programmatic liaison to professional practice and industry partners
- Support the learning needs and success of students from diverse backgrounds
- Contribute to the success of the College of Business by performing other duties as assigned by the Dean of the College of Business
- Possess a terminal degree in construction management or closely related field from an accredited institution. This position is a tenure track position.
- Possess demonstrable relevant experience in construction or a comparable industry.
- Possess collaborative skills to work as part of the College of Business.
- Possess the ability to manage tasks and processes including developing and implementing new course content in both the on-ground and online formats.
- Participate with student organizations and/or mentor student organizations.
- Collaborate with other disciplines and interact with the industry, including participation in or leadership of service learning or other experiential learning projects.
