• Job Title: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

• Location: Hamlin, WV 25523

• Setting: School

• Schedule: Part-Time (4.5 hours/week)

• Contract Length:  School Year

• Candidate Type: Local, traveler

• Preferred: School-based experience preferred.

• Requirements: Valid West Virginia Teaching Certification with Visual Impairment endorsement required.

• Provide direct and consultative instructional services tailored to students with visual impairments.

• Assess functional vision, braille literacy, and assistive technology needs within the educational environment.

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to adapt classroom materials and implement effective accessibility strategies.

• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to student goal development and progress tracking.

• Maintain clear, compliant documentation of student progress and service hours.
