This Position reports to:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by working both independently and as part of a Research & Development (R&D) team. You’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
The work model for the role is: ABB is seeking highly motivated and innovative R&D Engineers to join its talent pool for upcoming opportunities across Electrification, Automation, and Motion businesses at multiple locations in India, including Nashik, Bangalore, Faridabad, and Vadodara.
Primary Responsibilities- Working as an independent and reliable contributor in R&D projects with limited supervision.
- Performing various tasks in the assigned area (e.g., mechanics, electronics, thermal, software), from building concepts, gathering requirements to designing, implementing, integrating, testing, technology transfer, maintenance, and operations.
- Understanding and applying applicable processes, standards, guidelines, and requirements, including architectural and design constraints.
- Driving the achievement of assigned targets (quality, time, scope, cost) and raising and addressing risks.

- You enjoy working with CAD, Simulation & Data Analysis in either Electrification, Automation, or Motion business.
- You have 3 to 18 years of experience in designing, prototyping, and type testing of mechanical parts with products such as LV and MV Switchgear, LV and HV Motors, Power Electronics & PCB.
- Experience as an R&D Engineer, R&D Sr. Engineer, R&D Manager, or R&D Project Engineer/Manager with CAD software.
- Possess enhanced knowledge of CAD, Solid Works, Creo, MATLAB, or PLM.
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering from a reputed university (full‑time).
- Comfortable communicating in English.
