Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry. We are looking to strengthen our CAD team with a senior or principal CAD technician based at their London office with hybrid working available.
The purpose of the role is coordination and delivery, ensuring the quality of drawing work undertaken at the office is to the required standard. You will need broad experience in the use and application of common engineering software and IT, and should have a strong working and theoretical understanding of 3D modelling standards and related QA processes.
You will report directly to the Engineering Lead and the responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring designs are completed in accordance with CDM Regulations
- Acting as Digital Delivery Champion for MWH Treatment
- Coordinating design output across all technical disciplines
- Raising and resolving technical queries
- Forming working relationships with construction staff and supply chain representatives to promote buildability and supply chain efficiency in design outputs.
About the Candidate:
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
- 2D drafting skills, qualifications and experience
- 3D modelling skills, qualifications and experience
- Autodesk Revit and other 3D applications skills, qualifications and experience
- Broad experience in the use and application of common engineering software and IT
- Working and theoretical understanding of 3D modelling standards and QA processes
