Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominantly in the water industry who have been awarded a programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects UK Wide.
They are looking for a CAD Manager, who will be focusing on designing and building water and wastewater treatment works. The candidate should have a good understanding of Autodesk Revit or AutoCAD Plant 3D. The current team has recently been created with a goal of establishing consistent and high-quality data structures and workflows to make engineering more efficient and effective.
The CAD Manager would join the Digital Engineering Team and the responsibilities will include:
- Creating and delivering a strategy to ensure CAD quality and consistency nationally
- Producing and maintaining CAD standards
- Training and upskilling CAD staff nationally
- Defining and maintaining the CAD data structure and exchange protocols whilst ensuring it aligns with the Digital Engineering data structure
- Working with others across the business such as National and Regional Leads to understand their specific CAD requirements
- Working with 3rd party suppliers and designers and framework clients to ensure quality and consistency of CAD outputs.
About the Candidate:
- Experience of producing and managing CAD standards
- Experience in change management
- Experience of delivering training content
- Knowledge of Autodesk products including Revit, AutoCAD (Plant 3D and PID), Navisworks, Civil 3D
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 and experience of how it can be applied.
- A passion for organising and maintaining data
Preferential:
- Qualification in Engineering, or a related subject
- Water Industry experience
- Bentley Project Wise knowledge
