Reporting to the Site Lead

• Prepare piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&’s).
• Prepare general arrangements, layouts and elevation drawings for process, utility and manufacturing systems.
• Prepare detail drawings for equipment installations, process ducting, HVAC ducting, piping and plumbing systems.
• Prepare piping layouts, piping support details, and isometrics.
• Check other designer’s work to ensure a high level of quality.
• Assist in the development of capital cost estimates and effort hour estimates.
• Prepare design bases, work tenders, best value options analyses, and provide input to project schedules.
• Work closely and coordinate with engineers and other designers.
• Participate in design reviews with the client.
• Participate and facilitate “learn from experience” meetings.
• Participate in system commissioning, verification, and qualification activities.
• Review manufacturer information to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Provide design support during construction to ensure technical compliance which includes reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings and responding to contractor RFI’s (request for information).
• Provide client-focused communication both written and verbal to ensure strong working relationships are fostered.
• Provide cohesive and cooperative daily interactions with the team.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to travel and work in Canada.
• Experience in manufacturing, process and utility environments.
• Ability to multi-task while delivering multiple projects.
• Commissioning and process start-up experience.
• Proficient in Autocad.
• Working knowledge of Solid Edge or Solid Works is an asset.

• Specific system design skills in areas of utilities, flammable/combustible liquids, combustible dusts, bulk material handling, fluid handling, micro susceptible processes, and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshooting capability for equipment and system start-up.
