Role Description

Worthey Metrology Services is seeking a Laser Tracker Technician and Total Station Technician for a contract-based, on-site position located in varius locations. The technician will be responsible for conducting precision measurements using laser trackers and total stations, performing new construction layouts, roll alignments, turbine and industrial inspections, and assisting in machining and dimensional verification tasks. Additional responsibilities include vibration and settlement monitoring, routine maintenance, and ensuring high standards of accuracy for measurement and alignment processes.

The role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Laser Tracker and Total Station operation for precision measurement and alignment
  • Experience in reverse engineering, dimensional verification, and precision tool calibration
  • Knowledge of industrial inspections, turbine inspections, and new construction precision layouts
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving within machining assistance and maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in measurements and data collection
  • Willingness to work abroad
  • Relevant certifications or experience in metrology, engineering, or a related field is advantageous
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
