The Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for adjunct faculty positions. The appointment shall be in the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering. Applicants whose interests and expertise align with the department’s most critical teaching needs—including solid mechanics, dynamics and control, energy systems, and mechatronics—are specifically encouraged to apply.
QualificationsEligible candidates must hold an earned Doctorate degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, materials engineering, robotics engineering, or a closely related field at the time of appointment. The successful candidates must demonstrate the ability or potential to (1) teach and develop a variety of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and (2) perform professional service activities within and outside the university.
A notable record of past teaching experience and scholarly activity is preferred, and effective communication skills are required.
