The focus of our business unit »Battery Systems and Grid Integration« is on smart batteries for mission-critical applications and grid-connected BESS. We develop advanced grid-connected energy storage solutions based on multilevel power electronics and solid-state transformer architectures.

Our team focuses on grid-code compliant converter control implementation, as well as AI-based battery management strategies, to deliver reliable, high-performance storage systems ready for industrial deployment.

Be part of change

• Support of battery analytics and characterization processes
• Support of experiment design, test automation and data acquisition (cell/pack cycling, aging DoE) and enforce data quality, metadata, and traceability
• Collaboration in the development of physics-informed and AI-based (real-time) battery models and XHiL validation
• Cooperation with the other technology areas of battery cells and manufacturing and power converters
• Publish and protect IP (papers, patents) and represent our team at conferences/consortia

What you contribute

• Master's degree in the field of battery technologies, electrical or electro-chemical engineering, or a similar qualification
• Ideally 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in battery systems (promising early career candidates will also be considered)
• Excellent English skills (written and verbal), ability to write clear reports and present in front of diverse audiences
• Curiosity, a strong focus on outcomes, enthusiasm for working in cross cultural, interdisciplinary teams

The weekly working time is 39 hours. The position is initially a two-year fixed-term contract. However, we are interested in a long-term collaboration.
