job summary:
A Manufacturing Process Engineer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization outside of Charleston, WV. The Manufacturing Process engineer will focus on the manufacturing process plans for machining and assembly equipment. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end planning, procurement, installation, and launch of manufacturing lines while managing project schedules and budgets. You will spend roughly 20% of your time on the plant floor actively driving project success across cross-functional teams.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering with 3 to 5 years of post-college process engineering and machining/assembly experience. You must be proficient in reading and modifying AutoCAD and 3D CAD designs, alongside having practical project management exposure. This position requires flexibility for up to 20% travel and the ability to work overtime, weekends, and holiday shutdowns as needed. This is a long-term contract role, and our client is only seeking local talent currently.

- Develop operating process plans for assigned machining and assembly areas
- Lead the procurement, installation, trial, and launch of engine and transmission lines
- Establish and maintain project schedules and budgets to meet key priorities
- Analyze critical manufacturing issues, communicate root causes and countermeasures to stakeholders
- Lead working groups across facility departments to improve standard tools and benchmarks
- Spend 20% of time on the shop floor to build quick consensus and resolve operational issues
