Credit Controller – Burnley

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join our clients finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong client relationships while ensuring effective cash flow management.

As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company’s credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, reducing aged debt, and maintaining positive relationships with customers.

• Managing and maintaining the sales ledger
• Chasing overdue invoices via phone and email
• Allocating payments accurately and reconciling accounts
• Resolving invoice and payment queries promptly
• Preparing aged debt reports and providing regular updates to management
• Setting up new customer accounts and performing credit checks
• Negotiating payment plans where necessary
• Supporting month-end and year-end financial processes

• Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• A professional and customer-focused approach
