Cost Controls Specialist

Location: Mount Storm, WV

Job Type: Contract (3+ Months | Extension Possible)

Pay: $40–45/hr (W2) + Per Diem (GSA CONUS) + $500 Mobilization/Demobilization

We're hiring a Cost Controls Specialist or Cost Analyst or Budget Analyst to support a major power generation outage project. If you have a background in Finance, Accounting, Project Controls, or Cost Management and experience with SAP

• Support Project Managers with cost tracking and budget management.
• Create and monitor Purchase Orders and Change Orders.
• Develop monthly cost forecasts and analyze budget variances.
• Track invoices, accruals, project milestones, and financial compliance.
• Assist with project closeout activities, asset retirement, and unitization.
• Support capital budget planning and project documentation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Project Controls teams.

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in Cost Controls, Project Controls, or Financial Analysis
• Strong SAP experience (financial/accounting transactions preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Apps
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Experience in Power Generation, Utilities, or large capital projects
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and contract compliance
