Responsibilities- Responsible for day to day scheduling, monitoring of work flow in a patient registration, processing payments and billing accounts as well as oversight of patient record releases. Acts as a resource to the staff for operational issues and to any other customer who needs assistance.
- Employee must have proficient use of and accurate data entry and ability to abstract data from Practice Fusion and acts as a resource for employees in the use of the Practice Fusion.
- Reviews work for accuracy.
- Collaborates with other staff to assure medical record and scheduling is accurate.
- Collects and posts payments accurately and balances at the end of the shift.
- Releases medical records and Protected Health Information per protocols and adheres to HIPAA.
- Communicates with patients and clinic staff to ensure proper paperwork is available for the office visit.
- Monitors use of hospital resources and assists with ensuring supplies are available.
- Ensures excellence of service in all clinics where the employee is assigned to work.
- Uses software programs needed to complete registration and process requests for medical records including Meditech, MARS, Laserfiche, and Email.
- Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Office Certification
- Experience
- Insurance experience
