Hour Nurse is looking for Patient Attendants (Sitters) for Psychiatric/Behavioral Health Hospital located in Weston, WV!

Position:
Patient Attendant/Patient Sitter;
No experience necessary!

A limited number of supervisor positions also available, some experience required.

Location:

Weston, WV

Shifts:

7a-7:30p or 7p-7:30a; every other weekend rotation. Shift pattern is 2-2-3. Block schedule may be available upon request.

*** Shift differential offered for night shift***

Overtime is available and it is possible to be mandated to work overtime occasionally.

Length:
This is an open ended contract assignment. There is no set end date.

Start Dates:
Every other Monday

Orientation is about two weeks long and occurs during business hours. You can not miss any orientation.

This is an entry-level position. There are advancement and leadership opportunities!!

Patient Attendant Responsibilities:

• Conducts patient safety rounds, patient observations, and hall monitoring and documents accurately.
• Reports any issues, changes, or discrepancies to appropriate staff
• Interacts with patients, observes behaviors, and notifies RN of significant observations. Documents accurately.
• Supervises patients moving to and from treatment areas, during patient visits, and transports
• Assists nursing staff in responding to emergency situations

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage the patient attendants, including scheduling, breaks, call-offs, interviews, timesheets.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Direct care experience, customer service skills, and leadership skills preferred, but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screen and alcohol screen prior to start
• Must receive WV Cares clearance. Please disclose any arrests to your recruiter.
• Valid Driver's license
