• Delivers and documents care according to hospital policies, procedures, and philosophies.
• Follows strict aseptic technique at all times; uses sterile technique when indicated.
• Observes and reports all patient concerns and changes in condition to a nurse immediately.
• Safely transports patients, supplies, and specimens.
• Respects patient's privacy rights and values of individual patients, and provides care accordingly.
• Assists with orientation of new employees.
• Completes all annual competencies.
• Assists with unit cleanliness.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned.
• Complies with Corporate Policies, Procedures, and Personnel Employee Handbook.
• Must be able to cross-train to other units.
• Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills.
• Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration; participates in unit meetings.
• Participates in quality improvement activities, including serving on quality improvement teams.
