Part-Time Locum Optometrist - Correctional Facility in Welch, WV

Shift: 8-hour sessions, weekly

Hours per Week: approximately 8 hours (may increase)

1099 Independent Contractor

Licenses/Certifications:

Confirm credential requirements with VHS upon application

Experience:

Relevant optometry experience preferred; specific requirements to be confirmed

Pay Rate: $85.00/hour, inclusive

What You'll Do:

  • Prescribe eyewear and treatment plans based on patient needs

What You Need:

  • Required:
    • Valid optometry license in West Virginia
    • Relevant clinical experience as an optometrist
    • Ability to obtain necessary federal corrections clearance and credentials
  • Preferred:
    • Prior experience in correctional healthcare or similar settings
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
